Northern California (NorCal) Science Olympiad State Finals - 2008 State Tournament

Congratulations on winning your Regional Science Olympiad event. The NorCal State Finals, scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2008, is coordinated by the Stanislaus County Office of Education and hosted by the University of California, Merced.  The NorCal planning committee members promise an exciting day of science fun along with the spirit of competition.

This website contains all of the information for the NorCal State Finals. Please visit the website periodically for updated event information and rule clarifications. The following forms are currently available:

1. Event Registration form and Payment form (check or copy of purchase order MUST be received no later than April 25, 2008, copy of PO can be faxed to 209-238-4203)

2. DRAFT Event Schedule - Every effort will be made to keep events in the time slots listed.  An e-mail will be sent to coaches when changes to the schedule have been made. The schedule is ALWAYS subject to change based on room and Event Supervisor availability.

3. Device Impound/Self-scheduled Event Appointments Schedule - No longer available. The events are now scheduled by team number (see Team Number Events Schedule).  Please see your Regional Director for your team number.

4. Team Registration form and Permission to Participate form (for each participating student) are due at the on-site registration on event day. No student will be allowed to participate without the permission form completed and signed. Please attach the permission forms to the Team Registration (team list) form. For ease of registration be sure that the permission forms are in the same order as your team list.

The Team Registration form should contain ONLY students listed on the Official Team List and Authentication form turned in at your Regional event. If an alternate student replaces a regular student, then please indicate such on the Team Registration form. An alternate replaces a regular student for the entire day. Please refer to the Official NorCal Tournament Rules on the NorCal website for additional information/clarification.

Please remember: No team will be allowed to participate without payment or verification of payment. No student will be allowed to participate without a signed permission form.
